History[]
Avulsion Retreat is the clan formerly known as the Amalgam Colony. Formed over thirty years ago, Amalgam changed its name after a violent fight on Starpeak Island that left it devastated and its subsequent retreat from the island to the Icewarden's domain.
Now located on the edge of the Icewarden's domain, Queen Cedrela has taken a step back from her clan after the devastation that befell her clan because of her decisions. With their queen in seclusion, their king missing, and their former princess imprisoned, Prince Arthfael has taken on the role of leading the clan, alongside his only remaining child, Cadfael.

The members of Avulsion are a wide variety of dragons from various paths and backgrounds, and with various goals that they seek to meet.
Clan Leaders[]
- Arthfael of Starpeak Island is the current leader of Avulsion. He struggles with how to rule the clan as well as his mother did for so many years.
- Cadfael of Starpeak Island rules alongside his father, learning how to lead a clan as Arthfael teaches him. He struggles to reconcile the way his father rules Avulsion with the way his mother ruled Amalgam.
Notable Members[]
- Queen Cedrela of the Starwood Strand is a former leader of the clan. After her transformation to defeat Arrana who had seized complete control of Amalgam, and her attempt to restore Starpeak to its former glory, she took the clan to the Southern Icefield and established a new area for the clan to call their own.
- King Audulain of Focal Point is a former leader of the clan. After being attacked by a strand of the Shade and having his mind warped by it, he was imprisoned far below the clan's living space under Starpeak Island. After the relocation of Amalgam, Audulain was realised to be missing, and has not been found.
- Eleri of the Driftwood Drag is the former advisor to Cedrela and Audulain, and the current advisor to Arthfael and Cadfael.
