Annual Spring Break Party[]

Every year, Stormcatcher gives a break, and Blue Lightning celebrates with a great party every year.

2020 Party: Recorded by Midnight[]

A small Fae rushes up to you, shoving a piece of paper into your claws. you open it:

Town Hall. Entrance hall. Stair to the left. Password is Tempest Spire's Ridgebacks. Please wear your best party attire. We will be having a party. You look for the fae, but she is long gone. You go back home, and after a ufficient amount of time, hurry down the darkening street, checking the invitation's address. You push open the town hall's doors, where two small Fae and a Skydancer are sitting nonchalantly drinking tea in front of the left staircase. When you get close, it is evident why there is a password, as there is a magical force-field that smells of ozone and pushes you back should you try to come closer. You whisper the words, and it dissolves, snapping back into action the moment you pass through.

It stings, and you blink several times to lear the haze that's built up after passing through the barrier, but as you look around, to your astonishment, there is nothing but a small set of dolls, one skydancer and two faes posed as if drinking tea. It was illusion magic, based on the dolls. You hurry to the staircase, and stroll leisurely down, bring not much noise but a lot of peculiar buzzing and humming. the staircase is curtained off from the main party, and as you push the heavy velvet curtain aside, you are dazzled by the flashing lights and shining dragons.

The room is large and fairly dark, with dark metallic black walls that seem to absorb the light patterned with cyan-blue circuit patterns that glow dimly. There is a sort of electro-rock-funk music playing which is interspersed with a Fae with glowing eyes playing energetic electric violin solos, to which several party members are enthusiastically dancing on a colorful, glowing dance-floor. Flashing Lightning eggs are set up on pedestals, and many of the guests gather around them to talk about the eggs. Charged tungsten pieces are hanging in lanterns, and they swing back and forth rhythmically as the music plays. Charged Rhinohides are hung on the wall, glittering while buzzing with arcs of electricity. Underneath your feet, the floor is clear, with bright cyan fishes and Livewire Endlers swimming through inky black liquid.

The guests are wearing many outfits, some wearing black jumpsuits with neon highlights, while others are wearing all sorts of robotic attachments, including control gauntlets and strange 'telepathy' helmets you wouldn't like to stick your head into but they are still doing. Still others are wearing sparkling nanotechnology sequins or spark(l)ing silks and robes. A few are wearing spiky leather-and-metal punk rocker outfits, although the style does not seem to be a trend.

Your senses are at first overwhelmed, before they adjust to this new environment. You barely notice the Fae wit the the electric violin stop playing to a boisterous round of applause, and hop off the stage. She comes over to you.

"Welcome to our Clan's annual Spring Break Party!" she chirps happily, dragging you to a more quiet bar area that was so well camouflaged you didn't see it. "Do you want any snacks or drinks?" she asks you after settling herself behind the bar. "Mind you, we don't serve alcohol."

You request a sparkling water, which the Fae, who introduces herself as Star, does gleefully. As you sip it, you notice the water is extremely bubbly, to the point of almost hurting. You ask her about it and she smiles mischievously. "You asked for Sparking water?" You internally debate arguing, but decide there's no point, since Star already knows. You take a handful of lightly salt High-Voltage Almonds, and head out to the dance floor.
