Moonlight works at Dacio's daycare, at the nursery of Clan Scribbles to be exact. Any hatchlings from lair breeding pairs are under his care. After the hatchlings imprint on their parents, the parents are usually exhausted. They don't get any sleep while nesting, and the 2 days of imprinting also leave little room for sleep. It's customary for parents to leave the hatchlings at the daycare while recovering from sleep loss.
Moonlight is incredibly protective of the hatchlings, and personally screens visitors to the nursery. And anyone with bad intentions will undoubtely face his wrath. Good thing he has never had to lose his temper on anyone yet.
